The Wollensak Tube Amp…

What a fun little Tube Amp.

So, I also create guitar amplifies out of re-purposed tube amps & tube things…
This started life as a Wollensak Reel to Reel from the 1950’s, 100 watts of raw tube power jammed into a metal box, keeping the volume, tone and way cool over-amped light as the controls.
The “CockPit Voice Reorder” from a vintage military aircraft rounded out the look & feel. Added a Jensen guitar speaker after cutting the grill into the box then covered it with a aluminum grate… re-wired the in-out and output so I can use an external speaker system or internal and of course it still retains it’s all important in-line fuse so barefoot guitar playing on the Plethorium concrete floor does not hurt.
These are custom made and take a little bit of time to make. Finding parts is always fun
